Yawn... not content with upsetting Bricks and Mortar agents with his self-righteous, holier than though spouting of utter nonsense he is now on to upsetting competitors in his own sector of the market. Online agents increasing market share due to consumer trends. Company takes advantage of this by setting up online arm. Sounds like a good plan to me. Quirk feels threatened not only by traditional agents, but the irony is now that CW is likely to put a dent in any profits he thinks to make by beating him at his own game. HAHA!

The irony is that the big boys don't really care about being on zoopla. they're saving wads of cash, and hey, if this OTM thing works out, great, if not, who cares. Valuable leads come from rightmove and their own website anyway. Unless your 20 branches plus you will still care about the volume coming from zoopla. quality comes from RM...

the winner of the "stating the obvious" award. Bigger houses are harder work in general, you have more clutter, older people that work slower, never happy with the achieved price (imagine getting the asking price within 4 weeks, you must have undervalued it) and always find something to complain about. Best sellers are under 40, selling a flat and keep a tidy house. They listen to advice because they don't "know it all" - invariably they've gotten to where they are by hard work and learning, something that aged sellers do not have in common with them - they are in that big house often because they bought it cheap 20 years ago!

yawn... yes, online agents are getting a bigger slice of the market as people move towards online platforms. Only good agents will survive the shift towards more people doing themselves. As this happens though there will be more and more people looking for a good agent to pick up the pieces when things go wrong. To call it the "uber" of estate agency is going a bit far... having said that however black cabs are still around the last time I looked. Let's just make sure we don't race to the bottom.

people can't help but be lured in by shiny offices and the promise of £200k more when selling their house. Does it actually materialise? More often it doesn't, but hey you're locked in for 16 weeks and you've found your onward purchase, so I'll lump the fee and the crap offer you've shoved down my throat and get on with my life, I've seen enough estate agents for now so no point going to someone who does things properly and charges reasonably because I'm sick of the whole process now...
